How to Connect
|
A quick and easy how-to for those of you who might be new to MUSH games and this form of online text role-playing. If you would like to join in and learn as you go, here's how. Once you are connected, there will be helpful folk who will help you with any questions you have.
- Download SimpleMU. You can use other clients, but for the sake of clarity let's use this one. (Atlantis for Mac OS X users.)
- Once you've installed and started the program, go to File/New Connection Wizard. Enter our site address: bloodshed.org, our port number: 4201 and select MUSH. Enter a name for the site, something like FBS. And there you go! You're connected to the game.
- @mail either Aly, Virgil or Wyatt. Let them know what character name you want and they'll hook you up.
- Type +g <your message> to talk on the Guest (Greenhorn) channel (without the brackets). This is where admin and players will help you get your bearings, guide you through character generation and show you how to play with us.
